The first LGBT Sports Fair was held in Ferndale, Michigan, USA.Ferndale, MI a city just north of Detroit is the location of the Afirmations, a LGBT Center for the Detroit area. Over 150 people attended Affirmations’ first annual LGBT Sports Fair on March 19, an event designed to showcase the many opportunities that gay and gay-friendly people have for getting involved in sports and recreation throughout southeast Michigan.
