DanceSport preliminary schedule is posted on the Cologne 2010 Gay Games web site.DanceSport at the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010 will be a highlight for participants as well as spectators. Couples of dancers, same sex (male and female) and mixed, will demonstrate a wide variety of skills on the dance floor. The styles standard and latin include dances from Slow Waltz to Quickstep right up to Cha-Cha (Cha) and Paso Doble.
We are expecting about 400 dancers on the large 300 square meters dance floor in the ballroom of the Maritim Hotel in downtown Cologne. Men and women will be dancing in various classes and styles in two age groups, the "18+", "35+" and the "45+". There will also be a general age group "18+" for Disco Fox.
Maritim Hotel is very centrally located at the Heumarkt and offers a stylish setting for the dancers. You can get there by tram or on foot in only a few minutes from the Neumarkt.
Click on the competition link on the Cologne web site under DanceSport. Participants can be complete beginners, up to level A experts. You only compete against people at your level. Everyone is welcome.
