For non-Francophones, some highlights: a woman swimmer explains that competing in mixed pairs offers more artistic opportunities than competing in same-sex pairs. An obstacle to the growth of men's synchronized swimming is the refusal of FINA and the IOC to accept male synchronized swimmers. Many national federations do accept them, and TIP synchronized swimming for men, women, and mixed groups, will be judged by officials from the French national swimming federation.
