Dear Uffe,

We were so very pleased to learn of your nomination as Minister of Culture, and wish to express our congratulations on behalf of the entire Gay Games family.

We remember with great fondness the welcome you offered to the Federation of Gay Games at the 2009 World Outgames in Copenhagen. We believe that the Danish people are fortunate to have you in a position to use your skills to promote positive change in the pragmatic fashion that you demonstrated at the Outgames.

Marc Naimark, FGG Vice President for External Affairs, is currently in Cologne for the Play the Game conference, an event based in Denmark. He has commented to us on the extensive presence there of Danes and Danish organizations involved in sport, and in particular, in improving sport for all athletes and in using sport as a tool for social progress. Denmark is a country whose influence in sport far exceeds its population.

We are confident that under your leadership, this impressive Danish presence in the world of sport will only become stronger.

Congratulations and Best of Luck in your new role !

Best Regards,

Kurt Dahl
