In message of support for President Obama's position on marriage equality, Cleveland mayor cites Gay Games 9

A Statement from Mayor of Cleveland Frank G. Jackson:

I appreciate President Barack Obama’s sh ow of support for same-sex marriage. Cleveland is a city that celebrates and embraces its diversity. We recently extended Domestic Partner Health Benefits to our employees.

The City of Cleveland will host the 2014 Gay Games, an international sports and cultural event. President Obama’s endors ement for same-sex marriage promotes a message of equality and will add a significant layer of support that was absent from the games when they were held in the United States back in 2006.
