Do you think that the Gay Games should place more or less emphasis on “village” areas like the ones at Neumarkt and Rudolfplatz where there were stages, information booths, and food & drink vendors? It was really great to have a whole village in the town center! To be informed about everything including sports and parties and cultural events and to be able to meet other people from the other sports there was great. Also great: the women's space where there was a place to eat healthy, important for sport people ;)

Overall, how satisfied were you as a CULTURAL participant with Gay Games VIII in Cologne?
Somewhat Satisfied; As a cheerleader, I had a fantastic time at the Gay Games, in most part due to our inclusion in the opening ceremonies. However, our exhibition and competition location was outdoors. It was too small for our routines, and because it was outdoors, the heavy rain on competition day made it uncomfortable for spectators and rather dangerous for the cheerleaders. This was the first time cheerleading was a competitive event, but in the future it needs to be indoors with high cielings and mats in order to be a proper competition.

How satisfied were you with the accreditation process when you arrived in Cologne?
Very Satisfied: It was very easy and quick. The set up was good and volunteers knew what they were doing.

How satisfied were you with the officiating at your primary SPORT’s venue?
Very Satisfied: I was registered for track and had forgotten my number but could still participate. Everbybody was relaxed and helpful.

In which CULTURAL event did you primarily participate? Orchestra. Playing in the first symphonic orchestra, including strings, at a Gay Games was a privilege. I loved playing at the Opening Ceremony and at the Gala Concert.
