CDG Brasil at LGBT business fair
Erico Santos of CDG Braseil reports on their experience at the LGBT business fair in Sao Paulo. He says that they made great contacts for support from the business community, particularly for events planned like their GGX bid and the second edition of the their National Diversity Games which will be hosted in Sao Paulo in 2013.

Out For Sport and London’s LGBT sports clubs invite you to try a new sport!
18 of London’s LGBT sports clubs have got together to organise a week of ‘Sports Taster Sessions’ for London’s LGBT community to try out new sports. We want to showcase London’s vibrant and inclusive LGBT sports community, and show that we have something to offer everyone, regardless of age or ability.

The Federation of Gay Games is delighted to announce its latest member, the North Coast Athletics Flag Football League, aka "Cleveland Rockers":
The NORTH COAST ATHLETICS FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE (NCAFFL) / CLEVELAND ROCKERS seeks to promote the positive social and athletic enjoyment of American Flag Football. The CLEVELAND ROCKERS are a group of men and women who enjoy American football in all aspects: watching, cheering, and playing. We come together to play to promote the best of camaraderie. Our focus is to provide a positive, social, welcoming environment through the team characteristic inherent to American football while capturing the athletic and competitive nature of flag football.
We play weekend games in the Fall and the Spring and all are welcome to join and play, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or skill level. The NCAFFL sends a representative team, the CLEVELAND ROCKERS, to various national and regional GLBT/S tournaments including SynergyFest in Cleveland the last weekend of April, the annual Spring Pride Bowl in Chicago during Pride Weekend, and the Gay Bowl hosted by the National Gay Flag Football League (NGFFL) during Columbus Day Weekend.

KZN LGBT Recreation leads Durban church aerobics marathon... and prays for and end to homophobic crime
On 14 July 2012, the Apostles Church in Durban organized an aerobics marathon at the Durban Ice Rink. Among those taking part were members of FGG member organization KZN LGBT Recreation. Petros Duma, deputy chair of KZN LGBT Recreation, works closely with the pastor of the church for the church's sports program. As an experience aerobics instructor, he was in charge of the whole marathon event
Petros took this opportunity to lead the attendees in prayer for an end to the homophobic murders and violence afflicting South Africa. As the motto of KZN LGBT Recreation say: "Education through Sports = Unity".

Welcome to Hot Helsinki!
The FGG is very pleased to welcome a new member, HOT Helsink (hot.fi).
HOT Helsinki was founded in 1997.
The Association seeks to support sexual and gender minorities in training athletes. HOT organizes training opportunities and places where athletes are able to operate openly as themselves.
For the moment, HOT is active in Helsinki and Tampere. The club is still growing, and may expand in future to other cities.
The most popular sports in the club are aerobics, futsal, volleyball, ice hockey and badminton. Other sports include swimming, cycling, roller skating, dancing, skiing, skiing, baseball, bowling, climbing, athletics, yoga, and Shindo. HOT welcomes visiting athletes to join them when in Finland!
HOT's main focus is on recreational sport, but they have also participated in many competitions, including:

Tickets are available NOW online HERE. There are two prices to choose from:
$13 for reserved Grandstand seats (normally $15)
$28 for reserved Chairback seats (normally $30)
Tennis legend Chris Evert will be on hand before the match to meet and greet fans. This will be on a first come, first served basis for all attendees. The Kastles play at the Waterfront Tennis Center at 800 Water Street (easy walk from the Waterfront Metro) and tickets are moving quickly, so don't delay!
Then, join members of the Capital Tennis Association on Sunday, July 22 at 7 PM vs the Kansas City Explorers and featuring Serena Williams! Tickets for this night start at $77 and you will get reserved Chairback seats up close to see Serena warm up for the Olympics. Six members of British club Out To Swim will plunge into the 14 degree waters off the coast of England, swimming one by one for an hour at a time, before reaching Calais in France.
They will be doing this task in the aim of raising money for the Central London Samaritans, a charity that provides confidential emotional support for anyone experiencing feelings of distress or despair, which can lead to suicide.
All experienced swimmers, the six gay men and women have trained for months to be able to withstand the ice cold temperatures and marathon distance.
