A flood of world records in the pool

At the swimming competitions of the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010 29 world records have been reached so far. All records have been reached in different age classes at the relays. Among them the 4 x 100 m freestyle (women, men, mixed), 4 x 100 m medley (women, men), 4 x 200 m freestyle (mixed), 4 x 50 m freestyle (men), 4 x 200 m freestyle (women, men), 4 x 100 m medley (mixed).

World records can only be established at master competitions. The records have to be reported to the swimming association within two weeks. There the results will be analyzed and the official record lists produced.
