WAMM is the first ever lesbian and bisexual women's swimming event to be run in the UK, and only the second ever to be held in Europe (the other was in Germany over 3 years ago).
It combines an international standard swimming meet in a newly refurbished 25m pool, with a varied selection of enjoyable social events:
Welcome party on the Friday, featuring local lesbian musicians/artists.
Swimming competition on Saturday.
Women's celebration party.
Club night at Bollox (mixed gender).
A relaxed Sunday brunch.
A Sunday afternoon film showing of Training Rules, to highlight the destructive effect of homophobia within sport.
ALL included for the fantastic price of £30.00
(* Please note that we have managed to keep the price so affordable because we have received funding from the European Commission in recognition of this being a unique event, and to allow as many people to participate as possible).

Update: We've received this message from current Sydneysider and former Mancunian, and former FGG VP for Diversity, Kate Rowe:
FANTASTIC Manchester women. This is a fabulous initiative and a model that perhaps IGLA and the Gay Games people can use to promote more women into swimming competition. WE KNOW a lot of us swim but perhaps too intimidated by the "testosterone" of competition.
