This is the video footage you won't see on the news - The County Council of Cuyahoga County (Ohio) passed in a 6 to 4 vote, a policy that will now extend healthcare benefits to domestic partners of Cuyahoga County employees on 2/14/2012. The Ordinance O2011-0042 is to take effect immediately.
We note that the coming of the Gay Games is explicitly mentioned as a motivation for this legislation.
