US soccer team player Megan Rapinoe comes out

From AfterEllen (h/t Lindsay England), news of a quiet coming-out from Megan Rapinoe, a midfielder on the US soccer team heading to London, already known as a supporter of LGBT causes:

While we might have had an inkling that Megan Rapinoe was one of us, she never spoke on record about her sexuality. But in this video interview with KickTV, she discusses not only the U.S. women's team's preparation for this summer's Olympic games, but she also talks about gay athletes, saying "We're out there."
