BOX magazine supports Gay Games VIII

BOX magazine is supporting the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010 and will present the sport of “Wrestling”. With this the Cologne Gay Games are further expanding their number of media partnerships and can access up to a total of 61,000 Euros of advertising in BOX.

BOX was founded 16 years ago and has since been supporting numerous gay/lesbian events. “This commitment to the Cologne Gay Games is our greatest contribution to date. We are especially delighted that we as a national men’s magazine will be a strong supporter for the organization”, so BOX President Michael Zgonjanin.

Effective immediately, BOX will bear the official title „National Sponsor of the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010” and presents the sport of wrestling.” We’re planning numerous mutual campaigns with BOX and are sure to have found a competent partner in the Cologne magazine “, so an excited CEO of the Cologne Gay Games, Annette Wachter.

About the VIII Gay Games Cologne 2010:
The next Gay Games will talke place in Cologne between 31 July and 7 August 2010. Expected are approximately 12,000 participants from over 70 nations, who will celebrate ‚the festival of open games’ under the motto ‚Be part of it!’ – free from any discrimination. The Gay Games support more tolerance towards homosexuals, bisexuals, transgender and transsexuals. Everybody can participate in the Gay Games – independant of sexual orientation, sex, race, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, political creed, athletic and/ or physical abilities, age or state of health. The participants will show how easy it is to work out and to enjoy culture together.

The VIII Gay Games Cologne 2010 will offer 34 different sports and five cultural events. The bandwidth of the competitions ranges from soccer via beach volleyball to pool, chess, figure skating and dance. The cultural events consist of a choir-, band- and cheerleading festival as well as an art exhibition and an ‚International Memorial Rainbow Run’ to commemorate all AIDS patients and victims.
