Boga-Calcio Bologna wins ICONS-CUP-Budapest

The team "BoGa Calcio Bologna" wins the 2011 ICONS-CUP at Budapest which has been organized by Friss Gondolat Egyesülettel (FriGo), who is the organizer of the 2012 EuroGames in Budapest in collaboration with the team "I.C.O.N.S. Italia from Milano. The tournament has been organized as a "test-run" for the Football Tournament of next years EuroGames and had also the goal to collect some funds which can be used to invite participants from Eastern Europe to next years EuroGames Football Tournament.

The event had been supported by the IGLFA (International Gay Lesbian Football Association) who has donated money to the organizers to cover the costs of the venue, equipment and other costs. Klaus Heusslein (IGLFA Co-President) has presented the donation at a press conference hosted at the tournament hotel (Bo18 Hotel) where many journalists from several daily and weekly papers attended.

"The tournament was very well organized, and we are looking forward to see a great EuroGames Football Tournament in a beautiful city" said Remo Verga, representative of ICONS Italy.
Indeed the schedule of the tournament was precise like a Swiss clockwork - even a guided "Budapest@Night" bus tour had been arranged for all participants and guests.

The winners of the tournament is (as mentioned above) BoGa Calcio Bologna, 2nd "White Alders Budapest", 3rd "Friends Prague" - but the overall winners are certainly FRIGO Budapest who have shown that they are able to organize a perfect tournament which didn't leave any wishes open and of course the Outreach Applicants from Eastern Europe who can benefit from the collected money at EuroGames next year!
