Delegates, Board Members, and Volunteers from six continents began the process of choosing a host for Gay Games IX in 2014. After morning sessions devoted to procedural issues and the awards ceremony for new Honorary Life Members and Volunteers of the Year, the main meeting room at the Wolkenburg event center was filled with a rapt audience eager to hear the reports of the site inspection team who recently visited the three bidding cities of Boston, Cleveland, and Washington, DC.
Site Selection continues on Monday with the formal presentations from the three bidding organizations. All participants, including the nearly 50 members of the various bidder delegations, will be invited to a reception at the Old City Hall of Cologne, followed by a cruise on the Rhine.
The name of the host of Gay Games IX will be announced on a live webcast via Livestream.
