Gay Games media partner Sydney Star Observer on preparations of Harbour City wrestling club for Gay Games VIII, in particular for wrestlers for whom this will be the first competition:“The club is fielding a squad to wrestle at the Cologne Gay Games this year, so a tournament was a way to show new wrestlers what to expect in a competition while helping the squad put into practice their knowledge of recent training,” Webb said.
“Cologne will hold a novice event for beginners, although the advice is to enter the open events as well as wrestling is a sport where winning fundamentals can be learned in a couple of months.”
