A look back at Opening Ceremony

The entrance of the FGG flag in RheinEnergie Stadium was one of the important moments at the beginning of Opening Ceremony. This year, the flag was born by men and women whose contributions to the Gay Games were recognized by Legacy and Volunteer of the Year awards.

In the photo above, courtesy of Nicolas Datiche, Wostok Agency, you can see Barbara Strewinski (Volunteer of the Year 2010), Joey Justin (2010 Legacy Award for Outstanding Gay Games Athlete), and Connie Moore (2010 Legacy Award for Outstanding Cultural Participant). Also present were Hlengiwe Buthelezi and Ian McMahon (2009 Volunteers of the Year), Loren McGlade (Cultural Participant), Paulette Meggoe (Athlete), Jason Stone and Philip Lischke (2010 Volunteers of the Year).
