Gay Games VIII films to be screened at Paris International Tournament

Eyes on the Games!

3 films, 4 viewpoints at the heart of Gay Games VIII in Cologne, 2010

The TIP Paris International Tournament, FSGL, the the Face à Face film festival in Saint Etienne are pleased to invite you to the screening of three films made during Gay Games VIII last summer.

Feel the emotions of athletes from around the world through the eyes of four filmmakers.

The screenings will take place during the welcome night for the TIP, 10 June 2011, from 20.00 to 22.30 at the Mairie du IVe Arrondissement (town hall of the 4th Arrondissement).

Access is free, and it is possible to enter and exit between each film.

At the end of the evening, a panel discussion with the filmmakers will take place, lead by sociologist Philippe Liotard.

The films shown are:

Entre Nous ? (20.00)
Documentary, Chriss Lag
When you do a sport in an LGBT club, the first question asked is often: "but why do sport with just other gays and lesbians?". This film answers the question from the viewpoint of Marie and Etienne, and beyond an answer, provides a genuine shared experience of what LGBT sports means.
14 min - France - 2010 – Push Productions and Public G TV

Gais Gay Games (20.20) (English subtitles)
Documentary, Françoise Romand
Men and women from every horizon met in August 2010 in Cologne for the Gay "Olympic" Games. Françoise Romand films them with humor and tenderness, as they reveal their desires and their doubts.

Be part of it : en être ! (20.50)
Documentary, Catherine Thiollière and Yves Bourgeay
This film mixes interview and sequences presenting various sports present at the Gay Games. The aim is to show an atmosphere, a state of mind, more than the results of the competitions. As the Games' slogan, "Be part of it!" suggests, we decided to be part of this event and show our viewpoint as filmmakers on this encounter.
