Whether online or via the Gay Games VIII iPhone app, you may be using the route finder from KVB, the Cologne public transport authority.
The route finder online can be found HERE. It's available in several languages (German, English, French, Spanish, Dutch, Italian).
You'll be asked to enter your departure and arrival information, giving a city and a place in the city, which you can enter as a stop/station, a point of interest (POI), or a street address. You can also choose your location on a map.
Unless you're traveling right away, you'll need to enter the date, in the DD/MM/YY format (or use the calendar feature), and the hour of your travel.
Some important locations:
Gay Games Villages at Neumarkt and Rudolfplatz
Opening Ceremony and most sports at Sportpark Muengersdorf (RheinEnergieStadion or Junkersdorf tram stops on tram line 1)
LANXESS Arena (Deutz/Messe/Lanxess Arena station)
Accreditation at Tanzbrunnen in Rheinpark (KoelnMesse or Im Rheinpark stations)
Central train station and Cathedral (Dom/Hbf station)
Remember that your registration as a participant or partner includes unlimited use of KVB transport.
