Homosexuality - one of the last taboos in football.
In society gays are believed to be accepted, with prominent examples such as FDP leader Guido Westerwelle or comedian Hape Kerkeling, who give at least the appearance of integration. In professional football, however, coming out is still unthinkable. And in amateur football, with its million players, the subject of homosexuality is taboo.
This film shows that the first steps are made from the sidelines, but that there is still a long way to greater acceptance of gays and lesbians on German football fields.
