FGG member GALA Choruses is organizing its 2011 Managers and Directors Retreat in Denver, Colorado from 6-8 January.
Take a break after the hectic holiday season to spend time with friends and colleagues discussing repertoire and common challenges and opportunities. Take a tour of the spectacular Denver Performing Arts Complex where Festival 2012 will unfold.
Winter in Denver is not what you think: average daily high temperature 45°F and days reaching 60°F are not uncommon. Snow doesn’t stay on the ground long due to the arid conditions, so outdoor cafes stay open all year. With more than 300 days of sunshine each year, Denver is a great place to chase away the winter blues.
The retreat is designed for music directors, artistic directors and ensemble directors along with executive directors, general managers or volunteers who spend 15 hours or more per week serving as the principal manager of their chorus. The agenda for the retreat is entirely self-directed.
