The US Senate at last has voted the repeal of the discriminatory and homophobic "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy in the American armed forces.
In addition to the presence of a former US Navy sailor on the FGG board, there are a few more LGBT sport connections.
We think, for example, of photographer Jeff Sheng, who followed up his "Fearless Campus" project with a moving series of photos (see above) of military men and women affected by DADT, or Outsports photos (left) of Gay Games VIII athletes participating in the "dog tag" project, or baseball umpire Dan Pallone's comparison of DADT with homophobia in sport, or this message from Gay Games cyclist Jonathon Edwards to Lt. Dan Choi, the leading face of the fight against DADT.
