10 December 2011 / "YES" Youth Empowerment Summit in San Francisco

The Federation of Gay Games will be present at the Youth Empowerment Summit in San Francisco, at which Equality Coaching Alliance expects to hold a panel discussion on LGBT sport. More details as they become available!

WHAT
YES is an annual conference for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and intersex (LGBTQQI) youth activists and allies who are dedicated to defeating homophobia and transphobia and creating safe, supportive schools for everyone. YES is youth-planned and youth-led.

  • DANCE The after-YES booty shakin' dance, 5-8pm, (for youth only), includes special drag performances and a kick-ass DJ!
  • WORKSHOPS A huge range of workshops including legal rights, safer sex, gender and sexuality, how to have a kick-ass GSA, HIV/AIDS education, and much more!
  • COMMUNITY RESOURCE FAIR Where youth and allies can learn about services and organizations in the community.

Saturday, December 10th, 2011, 9am-8pm

  • CONFERENCE: 9:00am to 5:00pm
  • YOUTH DANCE PARTY: 5:00pm to 8:00pm
