Sydney's leading mainstream daily, the Morning Herald, had a blurb about Gay Games VIII:

Bravo. Our Olympic diving gold medallist, Matthew Mitcham, will make an honoured appearance at the opening ceremony of the Gay Games on July 31 in Cologne, Germany. Also competing will be Atlanta and Sydney Olympics silver medallist Michelle Ferris, who is a Gay Games ambassador to boot.
