Vote for the Gay Games as the best sporting event of 2010

Supporters of the Gay Games are invited to nominate the best sporting events of the past year as the first step in deciding who will win the 2011 SportsTravel Awards (sponsored by SportsTravel magazine). Nominating events takes just a few minutes and will give you a voice in recognizing excellence in sporting event production and management at the amateur, collegiate and professional levels.

To nominate deserving sporting events, please go HERE. The deadline for nominations is Thursday, June 30, 2011.You will note there are 10 categories for which you can nominate events. If you want to nominate the Gay Games, please do so in the category Amateur Sports: Best Multi-Sport or Multi-Discipline Event. We suggest writing "Gay Games VIII, Cologne, Germany ". Make sure to confirm your nomination when you get the follow-up email.

We hope that by receiving multiple nominations, Gay Games VIII will be on the ballot when final voting opens in July.

The SportsTravel Awards will be presented at the TEAMS Conference and Expo in Las Vegas in October 2011.
