Blake Skjellerup: "Once an Olympian, Always an Olympian"

With great pride, out Olympic speed skater Blake Skjellerup posted to Facebook his photo of a plaque awarded by the Olympians Club of New Zealand to commemorate Blake's participation in the Vancouver Games last year.

What struck me in particular was the motto of the New Zealand Olympic Committee: "Inspire, Excel, Together". It's a great alternative, or at least a complement, to the International Olympic Committee's motto of "Faster, Higher, Stronger", and one that could be well suited to the Gay Games if we were ever to change mottos (not that we would: "Participation, Inclusion, and Personal Best" (tm) has served us well, and continues to inform the actions and policies of the Federation of Gay Games).
