In het Nederlands: Matthew Mitcham one of gay.nl's top five sports personalities of 2010

Australische schoonspringer Matthew Mitcham kwam in 2008 voor zijn geaardheid uit en won in Peking tijdens de Olympische spelen verrassend goud op het 10m platform. Hij was maar een van de elf openlijk homoseksuele atleten tijdens die spelen in China, maar maakte met zijn glimlach en uitnodigende persoonlijkheid een onvergetelijke indruk. In 2010 was hij uithangbord van de Gay Games in Keulen en won hij zilver tijdens de Commonwealth Games.
