Groups seeking financial support

Although it's not our practice, we've decided to pass on a couple of requests for financial support from friends of the Gay Games:

1) Friends from the LesbensFruehlingsTreffen (Lesbian Spring Meeting) to be held this year in Rostock, Germany, have requested help in financing the participation of a group of Croatian women from lesbian choir Le Zbor in the event. Le Zbor were part of the choir program of Gay Games VIII, and the LesbensFruehlingsTreffen would like to invite them to Rostock this June.

"The Lesben-Frühlings-Treffen (LFT) is the major event for lesbian and feminine political dialogue in Germany today. The first official LFT was held in Berlin in 1974. Since 1979 it has been organised by and held in a different town or city each year. The event reveals the wide diversity of lesbian lives. We are everywhere, and we are many! The get-together is organised and run by lesbians for lesbians and with lesbians for four days every year. It is completely accessible for handicapped visitors and has been of vital significance for the lesbian movement for a great number of years."

If you can help out, please write Emy Ritt at eritt@gaygames.org.

2) Our friends at KZN LGBT Recreation in Durban, South Africa, are always looking for help to allow them to carry out their activities for the development of sport among gays and lesbians in the region. If you can help, write Hlengiwe at hbuthelezi@gaygames.org.

3) And of course, the Federation is always seeking donations to our Gay Games Scholarship Fund. You can learn more and donate HERE.
